The ISU has published the international competition calendar for long track and short track. Due to the current corona pandemic, new international competitions, cancellations, postponements or changes of locations could happen at any time, the skating union said. At the end of August, a final green (or red) light will be given for the first World Cup.

The Long Course World Cups are scheduled to start in Tomaszów Mazowiecki (November 13-15), followed by a World Cup match in Stavanger (November 20-22). In December, the series continues in Salt Lake City (December 4-6) and Calgary (December 11-13).

In the new year, the European Allround & Sprint Championships are on the program in Heerenveen, from 8 to 10 January. The Four Continents Tournament will also be held in Calgary (January 15-17). A month later, the penultimate World Cup race is held in Changchun (17-18 February).

The following week, from 25 to 28 February, the World Championship Distances will take place on the Olympic ice rink in Beijing. This tournament is also the test event for the 2022 Olympic Games. On 6 and 7 March, the season will end with the World Cup final in Heerenveen.
