Nagano Sprint PM Nickel
These Nagano Sprint 1.1 PM blades have a hardness of 66 HRC (Rockwell C) and contain specific alloy components that ensure that the steel has a lower coefficient of friction (approximately 25% lower) than with the Viking special steel iron. This keeps the blade sharp for longer and wears less quickly. The sliding resistance is also lower as a result, so a skate made of PM steel will slide better through the ice with less resistance and therefore less energy loss.
The Nagano Sprint PM iron has a height of 12mm compared to 7mm of the non-sprint tubes. The tube is also nickel-plated. In addition to looking great, this provides a slightly stiffer whole compared to the standard nagano sprint PM tube (black tube), although in practice only a trained skater will notice this difference.
